Introduction to 3D Printing Workshop
-CLASS POSTPONED-
Curious about 3D Printing but not sure where to start? In this hands-on beginner class, we’ll walk through the full process from digital file to finished part. You’ll see what 3D Printing can do, what it can’t, and how to get started on your own 3D journey.
What You’ll Learn
What 3D printing is (and how it compares to traditional manufacturing)
The main types of hobby printers: filament (FDM/FFF) vs resin, and when to use each
The basic workflow: idea → 3D model → slicer → printer → finished part
Key settings that actually matter for beginners (layer height, infill, supports, bed adhesion)
How to choose your first printer based on your goals, space, and budget
What to realistically expect in terms of print time, failures, and post-processing
Who This Class Is For
Anyone who’s curious about 3D Printing and wants a solid, honest overview
People thinking about buying their first 3D Printer and wanting guidance before they spend money
Hobbyists, makers, parents, and teens interested in STEM and custom making
No prior experience is required. If you can use a computer, you can follow along.
